One person was critically injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash in Hampshire Friday afternoon, fire officials told the Daily Herald. That person was extricated from a vehicle following the collision on Melms Road west of Harmony Road and flown to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in critical condition. Another person was taken to Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin with injuries not considered life-threatening, the Daily Herald reports.
