2 Injured In Rollover Crash On Randall Road

The collision closed down southbound lanes of traffic on Randall Road for a period Wednesday evening.

ALGONQUIN, IL – Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash along Randall Road in Algonquin Wednesday afternoon. The collision occurred at Stonegate Drive and Randall Road just after 4 p.m. when a vehicle attempted to cross all lanes of traffic on Randall Road and was struck by another vehicle that was traveling on Randall Road, said Algonquin Police Department Deputy Chief Ryan Markham said. One of the vehicles involved in the crash rolled over and ended up striking a third vehicle.

Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries. One person had neck and knee pain following the collision while the other suffered a leg injury, Markham said.

The intersection of Stonegate Drive and Randall Road sees a lot of traffic crashes, Markham said, mainly from vehicles attempting to turn left from Stonegate onto Randall or vehicles, as was the case in Wednesday's crash, attempting to travel from Stonegate straight across all lanes of Randall Road traffic.
