2 Sun City Homes Uninhabitable After Fire

HUNTLEY, IL -- Strong winds Sunday afternoon contributed to a fast-moving fire in Del Webb's Sun City retirement community leaving two homes uninhabitable, fire officials told the Daily Herald. Fire crews were called to the home in the 14000 block of Saffron Trail at 2:14 p.m. where they found a single-family home fully engulfed in flames. The intense blaze and strong winds lead to the fire spreading to an adjacent home, according to the article.

One resident was evaluated at the scene and no one else was injured. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental, authorities said.
