July 4th 2018 Fireworks, Fests Near Algonquin, LITH
Can't catch fireworks or a parade on July 4th? Not to worry. There will be plenty of festivities happening July 3-July 8 in the area.

With July 4th falling in the middle of the week this year, the suburbs will be celebrating for several days in a row. That means, if you wanted to, you could check out a parade, fireworks and/or a July 4th festival within driving distance every day from Wednesday, July 3, through Thursday, July 4.
While some may be just down the road from you, other fests and fireworks will be a bit of a drive. Here is a look at the local July 4th festivities worth checking out in the coming days:

- Crystal Lake: Lakeside Fest kicks off in Crystal Lake. The festival runs from noon to 11 p.m. There will be live music, a bike parade, carnival and more. More via your Guide to Lakeside Fest 2018.
- Elgin: The parade steps off at 9 a.m. from Slade and Douglas and ends at Douglas and Highland. You can view the parking map here. Kool & the Gang and The Commodores will perform starting at 6 p.m. at Festival Park, 132 S. Grove Ave. Gates open at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at gvctickets.com. - Sleepy Hollow: The majority of events throughout the day will happen at Sabatino Park in Sleepy Hollow. The parade steps off at 11:30 a.m. A map of the parade route can be found here. Fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. A full schedule of events for the day can be found here.
- Barrington: Barrington will hold a 4th of July Parade and kids bike brigade. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. Enjoy watching from the sidelines or join in by registering before the parade begins. Barrington's White House Open House will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence and other historic events. Fireworks will be shot off at dusk at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main Street.
- Elk Grove Village: You can see country band, Big & Rich, for free at the Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series. The concert starts at 8 p.m. at Rotary Green, 150 Lions Drive in Elk Grove Village. July 5
- Rosemont: Rosemont hosts a free concert every Thursday at its Parkway Bank Park entertainment district. This Thursday, The Four C Notes will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. and fireworks will be shot off after. There are food and beverage tents on the park’s great lawn. More via the festival website.
- Crystal Lake: Lakeside Festival will run from 4 to 11 p.m. and will include Taste by the Lake, drinks, carnival and live music. More via Your Guide to Lakeside Fest 2018.
July 6
- Crystal Lake: Lakeside Fest will run from noon to 11 p.m. Friday will be Kids Day and there will be drinks and food, live music, a carnival and more. More via Your Guide to Lakeside Fest 2018.
July 7
- Crystal Lake: The final day of Lakeside Fest will run from noon to 10 p.m. There will be a parade, live music, food and drink, carnival and fireworks at dusk at Lakeside Arts Park at the Dole, 401 Country Club Road in Crystal Lake. More via Your Guide to Lakeside Fest 2018.
- Fox River Grove: Fireworks will be shot off at dusk at Picnic Grove Park, Birch Lane. The park opens at 5:30 p.m. Food and drink will be available for purchase. More via the village of Fox River Grove website.
- Hoffman Estates: Northwest Fest gets underway on the Fourth of July but fireworks will be shot off on July 7 at 9:30 p.m. at the Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway in Hoffman Estates. The festival also includes a carnival, petting zoo, musical entertainment, parade, food and drink and plenty of daily activities for the whole family. July 8
- Bartlett: Fourth of July parade steps off at 1 p.m. on July 8. The parade includes horses, floats, fire engines, bands, Shriners, Community Groups, and much more. The parade goes Oak Ave. from North Ave. south to Railroad Ave.; Railroad Ave. from Oak Ave. to Main St.; Main St. from Railroad Ave. to South Bartlett Rd.; South Bartlett Rd. from Main St. to Stearns Rd. The Bartlett Fourth of July Festival will be held from July 4 to July 8. The festival grounds are located at the corner of S. Stearns and S. Bartlett Road near the Bartlett Community Center, 700 S.
