Algonquin Woman Charged With Drug-Induced Homicide

The 45-year-old Cary man died in his home in May after overdosing on fentanyl and heroin.

CARY, IL — Bail has been set at $250,000 for a 23-year-old Algonquin woman accused if providing heroin and febtanyl tbag killed a 45-year-old Cary man earlier this year. Paige Hoover is charged with three counts of drug-induced homicide in connection with Peter A. Fonte’s death. She remains in custody at the McHenry County Jail.

Cary police said the charges come four months after Fonte was found dead in his home in the 209 block of Short Street at 9:52 p.m. on May 18, according to WBBM. He overdosed on heroin and fentanyl, police said.
