Authorities ID Huntley Man Killed In Crash
The collision happened at Algonquin and Haligus roads and closed down the busy intersection for about four hours.

HUNTLEY, IL – The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified a man killed in a Monday morning crash at Algonquin and Haligus roads as David C. Stone, 51, of Huntley. The two-vehicle crash occurred at 6:11 a.m. An autopsy was performed Monday afternoon and a final cause of death is pending additional studies, according to a news release from the coroner's office.
The collision involved a 2005 Ford Explorer and a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, authorities told the Northwest Herald. Stone was driving the SUV and the driver of the minivan was taken to Centegra Hospital in Huntley. The condition of the minivan driver was not immediately available.
The collision Monday morning closed the busy intersection of Algonquin and Haligus for about four hours.

The crash remains under investigation. On Monday morning, Huntley police sent out a Nixle alert, requesting any witnesses to the crash to call the Huntley Police Department at (847) 515-5311.
