Body Recovered From Fox River Sunday
Authorities say they are not sure at this point if the body is that of a 21-year-old man reported missing Friday.
CARPENTERSVILLE, IL — A body was found in the Fox River over the weekend.
Authorities say they are not sure at this point if the body, which was found at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday at the Fox River Shores Forest Preserve, is that of Jesus Maldonado, 21, of Carpentersville. Maldonado was reported missing from his home on Friday.
The body was transported to the Kane County Coroner's Office, and an autopsy is pending at this time, according to a coroner's office news release.

"Due to the condition of the body a positive identification cannot be made at this time," according to a news release.
Authorities say Maldonado's family was notified of the recovered body.
