7th annual Food Pantry Golf Outing Teeing Off!

The 7th
Annual Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry golf fundraiser will
be held once again at RedTail Golf Club in Lakewood, Illinois.  The annual event, which last year raised over $9,000 to benefit the food pantry, will be held on August 31.  Registration begins at 9:00 AM

The outing has attracted an average of 90 golfers and volunteers over the last two years.  The golf format is similar to a scramble, with the tournament winners determined based on five randomly selected holes.   Included in the round
are a variety of games and prizes, as well as a commemorative practice
shirt.  For the first time this year, paid registrants will also be able to play at RedTail Monday thru Thursday for only the cart fee.

Event co-organizer Gerry Guilbeault said "the inclusion of the free rounds
before the event has been a huge help in generating interest in this outing.   Chris Neuhart and the staff at RedTail have made the outing a great time each year, this additional support only confirms their commitment to the outing and helping the community."

The post round festivities include a deep dish pizza meal and a raffle as well as the announcement of the tournament winners.
