Local Girl Scout Troops Hosting Bake Sale for Hurricane Sandy Relief
Local Girl Scouts are holding a Bake Sale
Fifth grade Girl Scout Elle McKinney was listening to stories about the destruction on the east coast after Hurricane Sandy and decided she needed to do something to help. Her idea? Reach out to her sister Girl Scouts and organize a Bake Sale.
Girl Scouts troops in the Osceola Service Unit, including troops 555, 1028 and 1473 are baking cupcakes, brownies, muffins, breads, and more. They will be selling their baked goods at the Jewel at 1501 East Algonquin Road this Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Please come out to support the girls and help the families in New York and New Jersey working to rebuild after the storms.
The money will go to GSUSA Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund.
