One-Day Class to Explore Ghosts and Hauntings in McHenry County

For those who are interested in ghost hunting or intrigued with the paranormal, one place to start exploring is with the Investigating Ghosts and Hauntings class offered by McHenry County College’s Continuing Education Department from 1-5 p.m. on Oct. 27. The class takes place in Room A119 at MCC, 8900 U.S. Hwy. Crystal Lake.
Basic knowledge about the history, techniques and equipment used to capture evidence of paranormal activity will be featured. Members of the Society for Anomalous Studies will show how modern day ghost hunters conduct investigations, from the pre-investigation stage to the final reveal. Participants will see and hear intriguing evidence captured from haunted prisons, asylums and some locations right here in McHenry County.
A special highlight is a chance to explore other anomalous phenomena including local UFO sightings and Midwest cryptozoology reports.
