Trash? Treasure? Vist Heritage Fest Antique Show Appraisal Clinic
WEST DUNDEE, IL – (Aug. 29, 2012) Certified antique appraiser Michael F. Jones will conduct an Antique Appraisal Clinic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Heritage Fest Antique Show in Grafelman Park, Fifth Street, immediately north of Main Street (Ill. Route 72) in downtown West Dundee. Antique show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. It is part of the 15th Annual Heritage Fest, northern Kane County’s top-rated free-admission family-oriented community festival which attracts an estimated 8,000 visitors annually.
Verbal appraisals are $7 per item at the show.
Because they require extensive research, antique jewelry and oriental carpets will
not be appraised on site.

A 34-year-veteran antiques dealer, certified
appraiser and licensed auctioneer, Jones owns Hebron, Il.-based Michael F.
Jones & Associates Auctions & Appraisals. A graduate of the Certified Appraiser’s Guild
of America (CGAG) and Missouri Auction School, Jones has a long history of
personal property appraisals, including large collections and estates
containing many diverse items.
Clients such as Turner Classic Movies, The Everly
Brothers and Dolphin Electronics are among his more notable auctions.

The 2012 Heritage Fest Antique Show is being
produced by Robin Reed, Art of the Heartland, Inc., who also presents The
Heritage Fest Art and Craft Show. For the past five years, the show was
presented by veteran antiques dealer Angie Rodstrom. While Rodstrom has retired from managing the
antique show, she and her husband, Charles, will staff their own eclectic booth
which features a wide selection of fishing rods and reels, decoys, tankards
Victorian and wicker furniture and much more.
