Nick – waiting for 3 months
Nick, Woodstock, is 9 years old, but very mature for his age. His mother describes him as very talkative and open to anything. She would like her son to have someone he can spend time with and just be a kid because he has been treated like an adult his whole life. Nick likes reading, watching TV, and playing with friends. He enjoys playing frisbee and football and would like a Big Brother to take him to the movies. Nick likes all different types of music, but loves hip/hop. He wants to be a music video dancer when he grows up. Nick doesn’t know his father and doesn’t have many positive adult role models in his life.

Waiting Little Brother Braden is 7 years old and lives in Woodstock with his mother and older sister. Braden doesn’t have very many men in his life, and most of his free time is spent with his mother. Braden’s mother thinks it would be good for her son to have a chance to spend quality time with a positive adult who could give him one-on-one attention. Braden likes to spend time outside, hike, play soccer, go to the park, and swim. He is very curious to know what his future Big Brother will be like!
Taylor – waiting almost 3 months
Eight year old Taylor from Woodstock says that he is an outdoor type of person, but likes playing games on the computer as well. If granted three wishes, he would like to go ice skating, miniature golfing, and to Wisconsin Dells. Taylor says the most important person in his life is his sister. He wants to be in the Army when he grows up because he likes to help people. When Taylor needs help he goes to his mom or neighbor. He does not have many consistent positive male influences in his life. Taylor could use a Big Brother to be his mentor and friend.
Hector – waiting 400 days
Nine year old Hector can be shy at first, but is very funny and already thinks he is a ‘Lady’s Man.’ He likes to build rockets, play video and board games, go swimming, and watch movies. Hector wants his future Big Brother to know that he really loves food, and lunch is his favorite part of the day!Hector lives alone with his mother who would like him to have someone he can talk to, teach him how to respect women, and guide him to make positive choices in life.
Cole – waiting for over 400 days
Cole is 14 years old and lives in Woodstock. He has been waiting for a Big Brother for over 400 days. Cole enjoys swimming, football and weight lifting. He also loves to look at his World Records books and learn about science – especially spiders and tree frogs! Cole needs a Big Brother who can expose him to new things. He doesn’t have very high self-esteem and his mother describes him as a follower because he wants to be accepted by his peers. Cole could use a great Big Brother to help him be more confident in himself!
