This week's Waiting Wednesday features three young boys waiting for a Big Brother in Algonquin; Jackson, Xander, and Dane

Jackson - Waiting over 12 Months
Nine year old Jackson lives with his grandmother in Algonquin. He is a very busy little boy. He loves to play wii and watch TV. Jackson is very ‘hands on’ and loves to take things apart and put them back together, play carpentry, and build things.

Jackson’s grandmother describes him as curious, energetic, smart, inquisitive and talkative. She recommended him into our program because she wants to ‘add some positive into his life.’ She hopes his Big Brother will be someone who will pay attention to him and help him feel good about himself.

Xander enjoys playing with Nerf guns, laser tag, bowling, building things, playing drums, hockey and video games. He really wants a fun Big Brother to hang out with!

Dane - Waiting 3 months
Dane is 7 years old and lives in Algonquin with his mother and younger brother. His father has recently passed away from pneumonia and has had a difficult time dealing with the loss.

Dane's mother describes him as very energetic, exuberant and outgoing. She said he is “always on” meaning he never stops moving. He is very creative, very loving and has a good heart. Dane would like a Big Brother to know that he is nice and that he likes eating ice cream. He wants to be able to play lots of sports with a Big Brother!
