Child Porn Charges Filed Against Man Accused Of Child Sex Assault

The local man, who faces life in prison on the child sex assault charges, was charged with possession of child porn last week.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL – An Algonquin man accused of sexually abusing two children now faces child pornography charges. Richard D. Lamp, 57, of the 100 block of Brook Street, already faces a sentence of natural life in prison after he turned two plea deals in January on charges of predatory criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual assault, sexual exploitation of a child, predatory criminal sexual abuse and aggravated criminal sexual abuse in the two separate child abuse cases, according to the Northwest Herald. The most serious of the child porn charges, which were filed on Thursday, carry a sentence of six to 30 years in prison.

Lamp remains in custody at the McHenry County Jail on a $850,000 bond. He is next expected in court on Wednesday.
