Former Algonquin Man Sentenced In Child Sex Abuse Case
Richard Lampp has been sentenced to 26 years in prison and is required to register for life as a sex offender.

ALGONQUIN, IL – A former Algonquin man has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for sexually assaulting three children. Richard Lampp, 58, accepted a plea deal Friday before the sentence was handed down. He pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated criminal sex abuse and two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault while several other sex assault charges were dismissed, according to online court records.
Lampp sexually assaulting a child who was under the age of 13 years old in July 2016, prosecutors said. He also abused two additional victims who were under 13 years old in 2014.
Lampp will be required to register for life as a sex offender.
