Former LITH Man Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Girls
Edgar Arana, 73, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL -- A former Lake in the Hills man could spend the rest of his life in prison after receiving a 15-year prison sentence for sexually assaulting three children in the past decade, authorities said. Edgar Arana, 73, was convicted Monday on one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in McHenry County court.
Arana admitted to sexually assaulting a minor who was under 13 years old in September 2016 and abusing two additional victims who were under 13 in 2008 and 2011, according to a McHenry County State's Attorney's Office news release.
Arana has also been ordered to register for a lifetime sex offender.
