Man, Dog Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car

Police are still investigating the incident that left a man and a dog in the hospital.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A man and his dog are both in the hospital after a car hit them while they were walking Monday night, according to reports. Crystal Lake police and fire units and Lake in the Hills police responded around 9:25 p.m. Monday.

The man and the dog were walking on Rakow Road near Pyott when they were hit. He was taken to Centegra Hospital - Huntley, then helicoptered to Condell Medical Center and the dog was taken to a local animal hospital, the Herald reported.

Police kept the area closed for several hours Monday night while they investigated.

Nobody has yet been charged, but police continue to investigate, according to the Herald.
