Court records show Romero-Morales was pulled over in the area of Chapel Hill Road and Cobblestone Drive on July 28, 2018, by a McHenry County Sheriff's Office deputy after the deputy saw his car weaving in and out of traffic, the Northwest Herald is reporting. Romero-Morales took the stand at his trial where he told the court he'd had several beers and Jaeger bomb shots before he got behind the wheel.
