The suspect, who was later identified as Timothy M. Andrews, 30, of unincorporated Algonquin, fled at a high rate of speed in the Neon. The Algonquin Police Department stopped attempting to pull him over after losing sight of him.
At about 9 p.m., a Barrington Hills Police Department officer located the stolen Dodge Neon, which collided with a telephone pole on Haeger’s Bend Road just east of North River Road.
