McHenry Tanning Salon Closed Following Fire
No one was injured in the fire at the EZ Tan in McHenry.

MCHENRY, IL – An investigation is underway after a tanning salon in McHenry started on fire Thursday night. Fire crews were called to the EZ Tan, at 4507 W. Elm Street, at 9:11 p.m., according to a news release from the McHenry Township Fire Protection District. Firefighters saw smoke showing from the roof and soffits of the structure, forced their way into the building and launched a rapid and aggressive fire attack.
The fire was located and extinguished with 5 minutes of arrival. Crews searched the entire structure and
did not find anyone inside. The business typically closes at 8 p.m., according to the EZ Tan's Facebook page.
The building is uninhabitable and there is no damage estimate immediately available, fire officials said.

The fire is being investigated by the McHenry Township Fire Protection District and the McHenry Police Department.
