Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Car In Lake In The Hills
A person crossing Algonquin Road at Hilltop Drive Tuesday night was hit and killed by a car.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — One person was killed after being hit by a car while crossing Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills Tuesday night.
Authorities say a 2001 Honda Civic was headed east on Algonquin Road at Hilltop Drive when it hit the pedestrian. Paramedics responded to the scene and began providing medical treatment to the pedestrian, according to a news release from the Lake in the Hills Police Department.
The pedestrian was taken to Northwestern Hospital in Huntley and was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated by the Lake in the Hills Police Traffic Accident Investigation Unit and the McHenry County Coroner's Office.
