Residents Voice Concerns Over New Apartment Complex in LITH
Do you think Lake in the Hills could benefit from a new apartment complex?

Several residents voiced concerns over a proposed apartment complex that would be located along Haligus Road across from Grafton Farm Drive, which is located near a District 158 campus, the Northwest Herald reports.
Concerns over added traffic from the 39-unit complex in the area as well as the type of renters the complex may attract were brought up during a public hearing Monday at the Lake in the Hills Village Hall, according to the article.
The proposal includes adding 2.38 parking spaces per dwelling unit.

“If we’re saying you’re putting 2.38 parking spaces per unit and this is a 39-unit complex, that’s a huge amount of increased traffic that we’re going to have on this street,” said resident Dana Wiley, according to the Northwest Herald article. “I’m concerned all around that this hasn’t been studied -- the impact of residents currently living there in single-family homes.”
