Weekends In Jail For Man In Sexual Abuse Case

A Wauconda man will serve 22 weekends in jail after originally having been given a two-year probation sentence.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL - A man who was sentenced to probation in an aggravated sexual abuse case from 2017 will end up serving 22 weekends behind bars after he was charged with domestic battery while on probation. A McHenry County judge last week gave that sentence to 25-year-old Blake Alberts of Wauconda. Alberts was serving a 2-year probation sentence for the sexual abuse of a woman he allegedly met at Club 220 North in Lake in the Hills when he picked up a domestic battery charge in Lake County over the Fourth of July weekend in 2018, according to a report from the Northwest Herald.

The Lake County charges have since been dropped, but the prosecutors' request that the judge's original probation sentence be revoked was granted. Alberts will begin serving his weekend sentence on Jan. 25.
