ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Junior A. Beltran, 22, is accused of criminal trespass to property, and was arrested 10:58 p.m. April 21, at the Forest View Educational Center, 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road. They were assigned a court date of May 10.
  • Ralph J. Caliendo, 72, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 9:11 p.m. April 14, at Bath and Body Works, 0-50 block of S. Evergreen Avenue. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of May 17 was assigned.
  • Juan E. Renteria, 20, is accused of criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 10:56 p.m. April 21, at the Forest View Educational Center, 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road. They were assigned a court date of May 10.
  • Adan Salgado, 21, is accused of criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 11 p.m. April 21, at the Forest View Educational Center, 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road. They were assigned a court date of May 10.
  • Ricky Sanchez Serrano, 22, is accused of criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 11:01 p.m. April 21, at the Forest View Educational Center, 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road. They were assigned a court date of May 10.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

  • Jay P. Bollyn, 68, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 9:51 p.m. April 15, at Northwest Community Hospital, 800 W. Central Road. They were assigned a court date of May 16.
  • Melissa Taylor Hoffmann, 22, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 7:07 p.m. April 18, in the 500 block of E. Seegers Road. Bond was set at $3,075 and a court date of May 27 was assigned in DuPage County.
  • Jeremy R. Yolich, 20, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 5:15 p.m. April 21, in the 100 block of E. Sigwalt Street.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF CANNABIS BY A DRIVER

Efren Herrera, 19, is accused of unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, and was arrested at 12:40 a.m. April 16, in the 1900 block of N. Eastwood Drive. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of May 23 was assigned.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Markeley D. Jenkins, 25, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no valid driver's license, and was arrested at 9:03 p.m. April 21, at Arlington Heights Road and E. White Oak Street. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of May 22 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED/SUSPENDED LICENSE

  • Saul Mendizabal, 44, is accused of driving on a revoked license, and was arrested at 1:08 p.m. April 14, at Arlington Heights Road and E. Orchard Street. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of May 31 was assigned.
  • Edgar J. Wheeler, 26, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 3:50 p.m. April 16, at S. Arlington Heights and E. Algonquin roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of May 13 was assigned.

REVOKED REGISTRATION

David Cruz Rincon, 24, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, and was arrested at 4:50 p.m. April 15, in the 1800 block of S. Fernandez Avenue. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of May 27 was assigned.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Gregory D. White, 20, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 9:43 a.m. April 20, in Arlington Heights. A court date of May 12 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Frantisek Zoldak, 59, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 6:41 p.m. April 19, at Rand and Arlington Heights roads. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of May 16 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • A caller in the 1700 block of E. Rand Road reported at 2:50 p.m. April 18, seeing a male looking in to cars in the parking lot. The person was described as bout 6-foot-2, wearing a baseball cap, green jacket and dark pants.
  • A person in the 1300 block of S. Vail Avenue called police at 12:50 a.m. April 18, to report seeing someone walking the block looking into cars and pulling on car door handles. The person was described as a male wearing a light-colored hoodie.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of a business in the 0-30 block of E. Golf Road reported at 8:04 p.m. April 18, someone took $413 worth of product and left the store without paying. The person t is described as a male, stocky build, about 6-foot-2, approximately 225 lbs., wide nose, wearing an orange cap, dark-colored jacket and a gray face mask.

VANDALISM

  • A person in the 200 block of N. Vail Avenue reported that during the overnight hours of April 19, their silver 2014 Chrysler 300 was egged.
  • A resident in the 2600 block of N. Haddow Avenue called police at 10 p.m. April 24, to report a group of juveniles threw eggs at his residence and vehicles.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A person in the 1700 block of E. Central Road called police at 4:40 a.m. April 19, to report someone tried to remove the catalytic converters off his 2008 Chevrolet van and his 2016 Starcraft motor home. The subject was unsuccessful, but caused approximately $1,000 worth of damage.

BURGLARY

A person in the 900 block of W. Dundee Road reported that between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. April 20, someone placed his belongings in a locker and secured it with a combination lock. The victim returned to his locker, found the lock broken off and $500 missing from his wallet.

THEFT

  • A person in the 0-50 block of W. Northwest Highway called police at 8 p.m. April 21, to report his maroon Trek Mountain bike was stolen from the bike rack. The bike was secured with a lock, which was cut by an unknown subject. The bike is valued at $700. The subject is described as a middle-aged male, bald, wearing a red flannel jacket and blue shorts.
  • An employee in the 1800 block of S. Arlington Heights Road reported at 11 p.m. April 21, someone entered the back room and stole eight Zebra, TC-51, handheld computer devices. The value is unknown. The subject is described as a male, wearing a baseball type hat, a face mask, black jacket and pants.

SUSPICIOUS NOISE

A caller in the 400 block of W. Miner Street reported at 12:58 a.m. April 22, hearing four gunshots. Officers responded to the area and determined it was fireworks.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

A person in the 3000 block of N. Stratford Road called police at 9 p.m. April 23, to report seeing a male with a beard in a dark green older model Toyota four-door sedan driving slowly past the residence four times in a short time span. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES

A caller in the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive reported at 1:25 a.m. April 25, seeing two people who appeared to be stealing something off a Mitsubishi Outlander parked in the parking lot. Officers determined the catalytic converter was missing. The subjects drove off in a black Mercedes SUV.
