ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A criminal sexual assault charge against an Arlington Heights man accused of sexually assaulting a woman was dismissed Monday in exchange for his guilty plea to a lesser charge, according to the Chicago Tribune. Blake Alberts, 25, received two years probation after pleading guilty to felony aggravated criminal assault and theft of more than $500, the news report says.

Alberts was also ordered to pay close to $1,500 in fines and fees and register for life as a sex offender following the Aug. 12, 2017 incident at a Lake in the Hills nightclub, according to Tribune.

Police said Alberts and another Arlington Heights Man, Eric Elwell, 24, met a woman and her friends at the club before going to the woman's Crystal Lake home, where Alberts forced sex acts on the woman, who told officials that Elwell held her down during the abuse.
