Arlington Heights Park District Receives Budget Award For 22nd Consecutive Year

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS – The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) presented the Arlington Heights Park District (AHPD) with a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2023. This marks the 22nd consecutive year Arlington Heights Park District has received the award.
“It is an honor to receive this award for the 22nd consecutive year,” said Jason Myers, Director of Finance and Personnel. “AHPD is committed to providing residents with excellent programs and facilities while maintaining a strong and stable financial position for the Arlington Heights community.”

The award represents a significant achievement by the District. It reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, the District has to meet nationally recognized guidelines in a policy document, financial planning, operations guide and communication of the budget.
