ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A Chicago-based attorney has been charged with felony stalking, as well as the unlawful use of an electronic tracking device. Joseph Ravago, 50, of the 9400 block of Oliphant Avenue, Morton Grove, was arrested Oct. 26 in connection to the crimes in the 3300 block of Carriage Way, according to an arrest report from Arlington Heights police.

According to the report, obtained by Patch from a public records request, Ravago faces two counts of felony stalking and two counts of misdemeanor unlawful use of an electronic tracking device.

In July, a former girlfriend of Ravago discovered a GPS tracking device underneath the driver's side seat of her vehicle, according to the police report. It was a black box with metallic magnets attached. The woman told police she suspected it was Ravago because after attempts to break off their relationship, he would show up at various locations where she was. The woman said it happened three to four times, adding that Ravago had no way of knowing where she was, but would show up anyway.
