Bill Murray and Brothers Want to Open Golf-Themed Bar in Rosemont
The proposed watering hole would be located in the village's Crowne Plaza hotel.

ROSEMONT, IL — Actor and Chicago Cubs good luck charm Bill Murray and his brothers plan to open a golf-themed sports bar in a Rosemont hotel, the Daily Herald reports.
The proposed venture would partner nicely with the line of Cubs-themed golf apparel the brothers launched this fall. So they've got that going for them. Which is nice.
Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens told the Herald the Murrays' watering hole would be located in a 11,000-square-foot space in the Crowne Plaza hotel, 5440 N. River Road. A lease is being worked on now, and the village would need to sign off on the bar's plans before construction can start, the report added.

It's unclear how soon work on the bar would begin if it's approved or when it might eventually open, according to the report.

But it wouldn't be fair to call this venture a Cinderella story for the brothers if it takes off. The Rosemont bar would be the second establishment opened by the Murrays — that includes Bill and fellow entertainers Brian, Joel and John; Andy, a chef; and Ed, a financial executive — the report states. They also own the Murray Bros. Caddyshack restaurant/bar in St. Augustine, Florida, which they opened in 2001, the report added.
