MOUNT PROSPECT – State Senator Ann Gillespie (D-Arlington Heights) and State Rep. Mark Walker (D-Arlington Heights) are partnering with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office to host a prescription drug take back and electronics recycling event at Prospect High School this Saturday.

Residents can safely dispose of their unwanted prescription medicines at this event. Medication must be in pill form, as no liquids or sharps will be accepted. Electronics, such as televisions, cell phones, appliances and more, may be recycled at this event with a limit of one television per household.

For those unable to attend, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office has 80 permanent prescription drug take back locations available to Cook County residents.
