ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Stephen W. Parker, 62, had an in-state-warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested Jan. 14 at the Arlington Heights police station.

INCIDENTS

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee at Ace Hardware, 1705 W. Campbell Street, reported at 7:55 p.m. Dec. 26, a male stole four toolboxes from the near front entrance of the store and left in a small gray pickup truck. The subject is described as white, in their 30s, 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, brown hair, wearing a blue face mask, black jacket, tan pants and light blue gym shoes.
  • An employee of Brookhaven Market, 450 E. Golf Road, called police at 8:03 p.m. Jan. 3, to report someone stole three bottles of liquor. The subject was described as a heavyset female and approximately 45 years of age, wearing a pink shirt and black pants.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A resident in the 1400 block of W. St. James Place called police to report that between midnight and 5 a.m. Dec. 25, someone cut a wire on his Christmas lights.
  • A resident in the 400 block of S. Waterman Avenue called police at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 4, to report someone threw a golf ball at her residence, damaging the front door. The subject left in a dark-colored sedan.
  • A citizen reported at 9:55 p.m. Jan. 4, someone had ignited a fire near the volleyball court at Creekside Park, 1928 Schaeffer Road. The fire department extinguished the fire and said a water jug filled with gasoline was used to start the fire.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

  • A citizen reported that between 7 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. Dec. 28, someone punctured the rear driver's side tire on his red Volkswagen while it was parked in the 300 block of E. Seegers Road.
  • A resident in the 2000 block of W. Spring Ridge Drive called police on Jan. 3 to report that during the overnight hours, someone had shattered the front passenger vent window of their car. A review of surveillance cameras showed the subject wearing an orange-hooded jacket.

VANDALISM

A complainant reported that between Dec. 29 and Dec. 30, graffiti had been found on both walls of an underpass at Davis Street and Northwest Highway.

THEFT

  • A citizen reported that between Dec. 22, 2023, and Jan. 4, someone stole the rear Wisconsin license plate off her white Honda while it was parked at Arlington Lanes, 3435 N. Kennicott Ave.
  • A citizen called police to report that between Jan. 4 and Jan. 5, someone stole an orange 2021 Rammer (Allied) Ho-PAC Hydraulic Tamper from a parkway in the 200 block of N. Yale Avenue.
