Man Accused Of Battering Nurse Treating Him: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The 28-year-old Buffalo Grove resident was arrested earlier this week, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Grant R. Braband, 28, of the 70 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of aggravated battery to a nurse while they were performing duties, and was arrested at 2:16 p.m. Sept. 23, in the 800 block of W. Central Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 17.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Kristen S. Marx, 49, of the 1100 block of Hamptondale, Winnetka, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 20, in the 200 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 10.

WARRANT

Hannah E. Pecora, 31, of the 1200 block of N. Race Avenue, Arlington Heights, had an in-state warrant, and was arrested at 4:47 p.m. Sept. 25, in the 1200 block of N. Race Avenue. Bond was set at $10,000.

PUBLIC INDECENCY

David J. Szydlik, 58, of the 1100 block of S. Dunton Avenue, Arlington Heights, is accused of public indecency, and was arrested at 7:48 a.m. Sept. 19, in the 1100 block of Algonquin Road, Rolling Meadows. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 29.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Angelo A. Yambao, 35, of Medford, Massachusetts, is accused of criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to residence, and was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 21, in the 800 block of W. Central Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 29.

INCIDENTS

ASSAULT

A citizen reported at 3:50 a.m. Sept. 18, a woman had threatened to beat her up and spray her with mace in the 2400 block of S. Goebbert Road. The woman is described as black, around 40 years old, wearing a dark-colored jogging suit, baseball cap, and was walking a German Shepard.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A citizen reported at 6 a.m. Sept. 18, that they saw someone tampering with his gas tank in the 500 block of E. Seegers Road. Upon inspection, the victim found a dried sugary liquid substance on the gas cap and the rear passenger side quarter panel. The person was described as tall and thin, and possibly left in a Dodge Charger.

BURGLARY

  • An employee at Kaido Sushi, 45 W. Golf Road, reported at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 18, that someone had entered the back door and stole cash from two registers. The person was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, baseball hat and a medical mask.
  • An employee at Nikko Sushi, 282 E. Algonquin Road, reported at 7:55 a.m. Sept. 20, a man had entered the restaurant by prying open the back door and stole cash. The person is described between the ages of 20 and 30, wearing a baseball hat, long sleeve sweater and a medical mask.

THEFT

A citizen reported that between 11:35 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. Sept. 21, someone had stolen his gray Vapor electric bicycle from a shared bike storage area in the 1600 block of E. Central Road.
