ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. William W. Berry, 50, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 12:43 a.m. March 19, in the 800 block of E. Central Road. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of April 30 was assigned.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Jay P. Bollyn, 68, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 1:15 p.m. March 23, at Northwest Chicago Hospital, 800 block of W. Central Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of April 13 was assigned.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • Devon E. Brown, 34, is accused of driving on a suspended driver's license, and was arrested at 2:57 a.m. March 18, at S. Arlington Heights and E. Algonquin roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of April 20 was assigned.
  • Meghan R. Cookes, 32, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:25 a.m. March 21, in the 1000 block of W. Northwest Highway. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of April 20 was assigned.

RETAIL THEFT

Andrija Geber, 43, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 5:51 p.m. March 23, at EZ Pawn, 1700 block of W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of April 20 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

  • Clarence L. Hill, 23, had an out-of-state warrant for violation of bail bond, is accused of driving on suspended license, and was arrested at 2:10 a.m. March 20, at Arlington Heights Road and Grove Street. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of April 12 was assigned.
  • Aundree Dupree Scott, Jr., 28, had a warrant out of DuPage County for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 5 p.m. March 24, at The Residences, 500 block of E. Seegers Road. Bond was set at $3,500.

OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED REGISTRATION

Takahiro Kobayashi, 29, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 10:43 p.m. March 21, at S. Arlington Heights and E. Pickwick roads. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of April 26 was assigned.

THEFT

Sang M. Lee, 42, is accused of theft, criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 9 p.m. March 23, in the 1900 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of May 9 was assigned.

CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE

Galdino Ortiz Juarez, 25, is accused of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and was arrested at 2:51 p.m. March 22, in the 1000 block of E. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of April 22 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY

  • A person reported that between 3:50 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. March 14, someone broke the lock of his locker in the 300 block of E. Palatine Road, and removed some of his personal property. They then attempted three transactions with the victim’s credit cards.
  • A person called police to report that between 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. March 14, someone broke the lock on his locker in the 900 block of W. Dundee Road and removed some of his personal property. They then attempted two transactions with the victim’s credit card.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • A caller reported at 7:20 p.m. March 14, a suspicious man in the men's locker room after swim practice in the 600 block of N. Ridge Avenue. The person was standing and appeared to be staring at the kids. The man was described as white, in his 40s, with thinning red hair, standing approximately 5-foot-8, and weighing about 210 pounds. The man was confronted by a parent and left the locker room wearing jeans, a denim jacket, and work boots.
  • A resident near Fremont Street and Pine Avenue called police at 4:30 p.m. March 16, to report their 5-year-old daughter was playing outside when an unknown man, driving a white Dodge Charger with black racing stripes, stopped and began talking to their daughter. The vehicle then left southbound on Arlington Heights Road.

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

A man walked into a bank in the 0-50 block of E. Golf Road at around 9:20 a.m. March 15, and handed the clerk a note demanding money. The man was given approximately $1,800 in cash and fled in an unknown direction. The man described as Black, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a face mask, standing approximately 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-4, weighing between 220 and 240 pounds. THEFT

  • A resident in the 2400 block of S. Goebbert Road reported at 10:30 a.m. March 16, they had a package containing a watch delivered to his residence from Amazon. Upon arriving to his home, he found the package ripped open and the watch missing. The value of the watch is $40.
  • A resident in the 1500 block of E. Central Road called police to report that during the overnight hours of March 17, both license plates were stolen off his 2018 Toyota 4 Runner.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A person reported that their 2019 Dodge Ram, which was parked in the 1400 block of W. Cellular Drive, was broken into during the overnight hours of March 16. They removed an aluminum bulkhead wall and three interior lights valued at approximately $3,000 from the cargo area of the truck.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES

A person called police to report that during the overnight hours of March 18, someone stole the catalytic converter from their Mitsubishi Outlander during the overnight hours of March 18. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.

RETAIL THEFT

A man described as in his 40s, wearing a blue hoodie, khaki pants and a facemask, took a shopping cart filled with groceries, valued at $262, without paying, at 9:15 a.m. March 19, in the 1800 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. An employee was able to stop the man and recover the groceries. The man fled on foot towards Golf Road.
