ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

ASSAULT

Ervis Buzo, 29, is accused of aggravated assault of a peace officer, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, and was arrested at 7:40 p.m. May 14, at W. Algonquin Road and Meijer Drive. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of June 10 was assigned.

CONTEMPT OF COURT

Carlos A. Cook, 52, had a warrant for contempt of court, and was arrested at 5:12 p.m. May 13, at a Red Roof Inn, 20 block of W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $9,230.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

  • Morgan Taylor Goldberg, 30, is accused of domestic battery, and had a warrant out of state for an arrest prior to requisition, and was arrested at 7:06 a.m. May 15, in Arlington Heights. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of July 22 was assigned.
  • Gaudencio Ixtepan Mezo, 27, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 7 a.m. May 20, at the Arlington Heights Police Department. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of June 3 was assigned.

OBSTRUCTING IDENTIFICATION

Alex Iorgu, 19, is accused of obstructing identification, operating a motor vehicle with a canceled registration, no driver's license, and was arrested at 3:21 a.m. May 20, at Arlington Heights Road and the I-90 W ramp. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of June 27 was assigned.

BATTERY

Rosario J. Lombardo, 33, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 12:22 p.m. May 17, at Northwest Community Hospital, 900 block of W. Kirchoff Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of July 22 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED/SUSPENDED LICENSE

Jonathan M. Paez, 34, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 5:12 p.m. May 17, at Arlington Heights and Rand roads. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of June 21 was assigned.

VANDALISM

Bohdan Pashivskyy, 19, is accused of vandalism (criminal damage to property), and was arrested at 2:51 a.m. May 14, in the 700 block of S. Kaspar Avenue. A court date of June 14 was assigned.

AGGRAVATED UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON

Stephon R. Wallace, 21, is accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and was arrested at 12:28 p.m. May 13, at Guitar Center, 2300 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $5,000 and a court date of June 7 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A person called police at 1 a.m. May 9, to report someone entered his unlocked Toyota Camry and took his personal belongings in the 2100 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Taken were the following: 1-black ACER laptop with charger ($1,000), 1 CannonSD MK3 50mm lens ($300), 1 Cannon 135mm lens ($1,000), 1 Cannon 24-120mm lens($200). Subject is described as a male wearing jeans, white shirt, dark jacket, and a light blue cap.
  • A person reported that during the overnight hours of May 10, someone entered her Ford Bronco and took the following items: silver MacBook Pro Gen 3 ($400), black Paul Smith leather wallet ($800), black North Face backpack ($300), cash ($400) and five credit cards in the 2200 block of S. Goebbert Road.
  • A resident of the 500 block of E. Seegers Road called police to report that during the overnight hours of May 14, someone entered her white Hyundai and stole a jar containing an unknown number of coins.
  • A resident of the 500 block of E. Seeger Road reported that during the overnight hours of May 14, someone entered his unlocked Yamaha Motorcycle and Chevrolet Malibu. Nothing was taken from the Malibu, however a Glock 43 p80 clone was taken from the motorcycle storage compartment.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES

A person called police to report that during the overnight hours of May 11, someone removed the catalytic converter off his 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander in the 1600 block of N. Windsor Road. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is unknown.

THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road reported that during the overnight hours of May 11, someone stole a green golf cart with a black box and yellow hard top roof from the property. The golf cart is valued at $9,000.
  • An employee of a business in the 600 block of E. Algonquin Road called police to report that between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. May 13, a man pulled up in a silver Toyota and entered under the gate. The man took approximately $1,000 worth of roofing materials and left in an unknown direction.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

A caller reported at 4:30 p.m. May 11, an older man was sitting in a black Nissan, watching kids play basketball in the 300 block of E. Olive Street. Officers responded and checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

SUSPICIOUS NOISE

  • A caller in the 1200 block of E. Oakton Street reported at 5:30 p.m. May 11, hearing what sounded like gunshots in the area. Officers checked the area and did not find anything suggesting such.
  • A resident in the 1100 block of E. Mayfair Road called police at 9:07 p.m. May 14, to report hearing four or five bursts of seven gunshots at a time. Officers in the area heard the sounds and recognized them as fireworks. No signs of gunfire in the area.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A resident in the 600 block of R. Ridge Road reported that between 6:40 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. May 14, his 2010 black Mercedes was keyed. The value of the damage is unknown.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident in the 1000 block of N. Highland Avenue called police at 10 p.m. May 14, to report hearing a crashing noise come from the front of her house. Upon opening the front door, she found a window pane on their screen door was broken. She saw some juveniles leave in a south bound direction, but was unsure if they were related. The estimated cost to replace the window is approximately $200.

BURGLARY

An employee of a business in the 1100 block of W. Dundee Road reported 7:30 a.m. May 15, someone entered the dealership by breaking a window on a service bay entrance door and subsequently stole seven vehicles.
