Man Steals $800 In Razors From Store: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The theft occurred at Cosmo Prof on Golf Road, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Jonathan Baez-Calderon, 23, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, resisting a peace officer, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested Dec. 10 at Rand and Hintz roads. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 25, 2024.
  • Roy A. Olson, 60, is accused of DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested Dec. 13 in the 1600 block of W. Northwest Highway. He was released and was assigned a court date of Jan. 25, 2024.

PROSTITUTION

Franyelis Bolano-Barrios, 24, is accused of prostitution, and was arrested Dec. 11 at Red Roof Inn, 22 W. Algonquin Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 16, 2024.

RETAIL THEFT

Richard S. Decesare, 34, is accused of retail theft, criminal trespass to property, and was arrested Dec. 9 at Mariano's Fresh Market, 802 E. Northwest Highway. On Dec. 11, Decesare is accused of criminal trespass from village parking facility, and was arrested at Evergreen Parking Underground, 35 S. Evergreen Ave. He was released and was assigned a court date of Dec. 22.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Michael A. Williams, 43, had an in-state warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested Dec. 12 at Village Hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

An employee at Walgreens, 100 E. Northwest Highway, reported at 8:02 p.m. Dec. 4, someone attempted to use two American Express gift cards with no value. After the clerk swiped the cards, the subject was able to access the register screen and put a $250 value on each card. The subject was described as 6-foot, 190 pounds, wearing a black mask, red hoodie, black jacket with a red and white basketball on the front, grey sweatpants and white gym shoes.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee at Lover's Lane, 25 E. Golf Road, called police at 7:32 p.m. Dec. 5, to report someone concealed merchandise in his waistband and left without paying. The black male was wearing a black winter hate and black jacket. The male was accompanied by a black female. They left in a dark-colored sedan with blue and orange on the license plate.
  • An employee at Cosmo Prof, 31 W. Golf Road, reported at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 6, someone stole five sets of electric razors valued at approximately $800. The male was wearing a blue jacket and grey knit hat.

THEFT OF SERVICES

An employee at Chilli's, 640 E. Rand Road, called police at 5 p.m. Dec. 9, to report a group of peopl had a $108 bill and left without paying. The group consisting of two males and two females were between 16 and 18 years old.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE

A person called police to report that during the overnight hours of Dec. 11, someone entered her 2016 Hyundai in the 1200 block of N. Village Drive. The victim noticed the steering
column had been disassembled and the ignition had been tampered with.

BURGLARY

Police responded to Guitar Center, 2375 S. Arlington Heights Road, at 5:39 a.m. Dec. 10, for an activated alarm. An officer found the rear doors to be heavily damaged and forced open. It was unknown at the time of the report if anything was taken from inside.
