The charges stem from an investigation into an unknown problem and shooting in the 100 block of North Maple Street Sunday night. According to a news release, detectives were able to confirm through evidence that the offenders who arrived at Orlowski's house were specifically targeting him and this was an isolated incident.

As previously reported, police believe a male suspect, who was wearing a reflective vest, approached the home and made contact with Orlowski at the door. A second male suspect was waiting in the driveway. After an altercation ensued, the male at the door shot the homeowner in the leg. The two offenders then ran to a dark-colored SUV parked on the street and fled the area.
