Thief Steals Clubhead Off $300 Golf Club: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

James A. Grissom, 45, is accused of criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to residence, and was arrested at 6:59 p.m. Oct. 4, in the 1800 block of S. Highland Avenue. A court date of Nov. 2 was assigned.

A 32-year-old man is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 6:32 p.m. Sept. 29, in the 2000 block of N. Shenandoah Drive. A court date of Oct. 16 was assigned.
RETAIL THEFT
A 33-year-old female is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 5:27 p.m. Oct. 2, at Target, 1700 block of E. Rand Road. A court date of Nov. 2 was assigned.
BATTERY
Jacob A. Joiner, 26, is accused of battery, assault, and was arrested at 2:06 a.m. Sept. 30, at Arlington Ale House, 111 W. Campbell St. A court date of Oct. 16 was assigned.
VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND
- Shannon M. Santiago, 53, had two in-state warrants for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 5:56 p.m. Oct. 4, in the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive. Bond was set at $4,000.
- Elijha Walker, 53, had an in-state warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 5:56 p.m. Oct. 4, in the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive. Bond was set at $50,000.

INCIDENTS
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
- An employee at Arlington Nissan, 1100 W. Dundee Road, reported that between Sept. 16 and Sept. 18, someone smashed the windows on three Nissan Sentra’s and stole one stereo system. The value of the damage and the stereo was unknown.
- A resident in the 2400 block of N. Verde Drive called police to report that between 9:40 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sept. 21, someone entered her silver Honda, which was parked in the driveway, and stole her wallet. The victim’s credit cards were subsequently used to make unauthorized purchases.
- A citizen reported at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 28, someone entered his 2016 Dodge and stole construction tools in the 100 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. The subject is described as a black male, approximately 6-foot tall, weighing between 180 and 190 pounds, wearing a dark-colored jacket, with black pants, and white shoes. The subject was driving a gray SUV.
- A resident in the 200 block of Brett Court called police at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 28, to report someone entered her unlocked Chevrolet and stole loose change.
- A resident in the 900 block of W. Central Road called police to report that between 5:50 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. Sept. 29, someone smashed the driver side window on her 2021 Toyota and stole a Vera Bradley pouch valued at approximately $40.
THEFT OF SERVICE
A resident in the 2300 block of E. Rand Road called police at 3 p.m Sept. 21, to report someone used her dumpster to throw away their trash.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
- A citizen called police to report that between 1:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Sept. 21, someone poured an unknown substance and keyed her Mini Cooper while it was parked at the Northwest Community Hospital, 800 W. Central Road. The cost to repair the car was unknown at the time of the report.
- A resident in the 400 block of W. Happfield Drive reported that during the overnight hours of Sept. 23, someone punctured three tires on her Subaru.
STOLEN AUTO
A resident in the 300 block of E. Lynwood Avenue reported that during the overnight hours of Sept. 25, someone stole his 2013 Infiniti from his driveway.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES
- A resident in the 2600 block of N. Windsor Drive reported at 3 a.m. Sept. 28, three people stole the catalytic converter off her 2015 silver Kia. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.
- A resident in the 700 block of W. Rand Road reported that during the overnight hours of Sept. 29, someone stole the catalytic converter off his 2013 Volkswagen. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee at Dick's Sporting Goods, 401 E. Palatine Road, called police at 3:55 p.m. Sept. 28, to report someone stole the clubhead off a TaylorMade Stealth Driver. The driver was valued at $369.99. The subject was described as a male wearing a black short sleeve t-shirt, shorts, and white tennis shoes.
THEFT
- A customer at Mariano's, 802 E. Northwest Highway, reported that between noon and 12:20 p.m. Oct. 1, someone stole her wallet while she was near the self-checkout. The subject was described as a male, thin build, clean cut and clean-shaven.
- Two juveniles reported at 7 p.m. Oct. 1, someone stole their backpacks and a duffle bag at International Plaza, 244 E. Golf Road. The subject was described as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years old, approximately 6-foot-2, with a black beard, wearing a red ballcap, gray shirt and shorts. The subject spoke with an accent. The male was accompanied by a Hispanic female, in her 40s, with long black hair, wearing a gray shirt and pants. Both subjects left in a small silver sedan.
