Thief Steals Crock Pot, Vacuum Cleaner: Arlington Heights PD Blotter
The two items had a combined value of nearly $300, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Kamal F. Abdelkoui, 64, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 2:11 p.m. Nov. 30, at the downtown train station, 45 W. Northwest Highway. Bond was set at $00 and a court date of Jan. 4, 2023, was assigned.

Ramiro Cazares, 26, is accused of resisting a peace officer, obstructing identification, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 6:18 p.m. Dec. 1, at Denny's, 17 W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Jan. 19, 2023, was assigned.
VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND
- Josh J. Collier, 24, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 25, at Safeguard Self Storage, 500 block of W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $3,000.
- Jose L. Vivas-Contreras 46, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, was driving on a suspended license for the second time, driving on a revoked license, operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended registration for the second time, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 6:25 p.m. Nov. 29, at W. Palatine Road and N. Kennicott Avenue. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of Jan. 11, 2023, was assigned.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Larry Dulaney, 69, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 12:47 a.m. Nov. 28, in the 2100 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Dec. 14 was assigned.
- Jason J. Jacobsen, 46, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 2:56 a.m. Dec. 3, at E. Palatine and E. Rand roads. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Jan. 11, 2023, was assigned.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
- Hector Soto Guerrero, 34, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 12:36 a.m. Dec. 2, in the 200 block of S. Evergreen Avenue. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Dec. 9 was assigned.
- Anna M. Quiroz, 43, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 12:31 a.m. Nov. 26, ain the 800 block of E. Shady Way. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Dec. 20 was assigned.
- Alia T. Wilson, 33, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 8:47 p.m. Nov. 28, in the 200 block of N. Dunton Avenue. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Dec. 20 was assigned.
PAROLE VIOLATION
Marldon R. Holder, 33, had a warrant for a parole violation, and was arrested at 11:35 p.m. Nov. 29, at Courtyard by Marriott, 100 W. Algonquin Road.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
Alac Horvath, 26, is accused of motor vehicle theft, had two warrants for probation violations, and was arrested at 3:15 a.m. Nov. 25, at BP Station, 2200 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $30,000 and a court date of Dec. 6 was assigned.
WARRANT
Jeffrey Michael Quiroz, 35, had a warrant out of Cook County, and was arrested at 10:46 p.m. Nov. 27, in the 1700 block of N. Winsdor Drive.

INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
- A person entered the Goodwill store, 1551 N. Dryden Ave., at 2:15 p.m. Nov. 22, and stole a black Moose Knuckle coat valued at $299.99. The suspect is described as a heavyset white male with a beard, tattoos on both forearms, wearing a green baseball cap, black top, black pants, and glasses.
- An employee of Kohls, 800 W. Dundee Road, reported at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 25, someone stole a Shark Hydro vacuum cleaner, valued at $249.99, and a Tru crock pot, valued at $34.99. The suspect is described as an Asian male, approximately 40 years old, balding, wearing glasses, black Adidas jacket and black pants.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES
- A citizen reported that between 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 23, someone stole the catalytic converter off her black Mitsubishi parked in the 4200 block of N. Bloomington Avenue. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is unknown.
- A citizen reported at 3:37 a.m. Nov. 25, someone stole the catalytic converter off his 2004 Hyundai while it was parked at Days Inn, 1415 W. Dundee Road. A review of surveillance cameras showed two subjects exit a light colored 4-door sedan. One subject lifted the vehicle with a jack, and the other crawled under the vehicle and removed the catalytic converter.
THEFT
An employee of LensCrafters, 450 E. Rand Road, reported at 5 p.m. Nov. 23, that someone entered the store and asked to use the bathroom. After doing so, the subject entered the break room and stole the cell phones of two employees. The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, wearing a white baseball hat, tan jacket and baggy pants. Stolen was a blue Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, valued at approximately $1,000, and a black Galaxy 22, valued at approximately $900.
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
A citizen called police to report that during the overnight hours of Nov. 25, someone stole his white 2021 Toyota Rav 4 while it was parked in a parking lot in the 2200 block of S. Goebbert Road.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
One person reported that between 1:25 p.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 25, the passenger side mirror on her 2014 Honda was shattered in the 30 block of S. Evergreen Avenue. Another driver reported that the driver side mirror on her 2023 GMC was shattered. The cost to repair the mirrors are unknown.
VANDALISM
A resident in the 3000 block of N. Stratford Road reported at 8:20 p.m. Nov. 26, someone egged his house.
