Thief Steals Toyota Out Of Driveway: Arlington Heights PD Blotter
The incident on E. Park Street happened between Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, according to police.

- Leonides Aguilar Martinez, 47, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed, improper U-turn, and was arrested at 12:45 a.m. Oct. 8, at I-90 and Arlington Heights Road. They were released and assigned a court date of Nov. 9.
- Jimena Maldonado, 20, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 9:48 p.m. Oct. 8, at Wilke and Kirchoff roads. They were released and assigned a court date of Oct. 23.
- Jose A. Ramos Aceituno, 24, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, leaving the scene of a car accident, driving on a suspended license, illegal transportation of liquor by a driver, and was arrested at 3:34 p.m. Oct. 9, in the 1200 block of N. Pine Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 17.
VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND
- Mathew C. Carrico, 44, had an in-state warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 6:37 p.m. Oct. 9, at Arlington Heights and Algonquin roads. Bond was set at $5,000.
- Troy Darrick Patton, 40, had an in-state warrant for violation of bail bond, a new charge of driving on a revoked license, and was arrested at 7:37 p.m. Oct. 8, at Arlington Heights and Algonquin roads. Bond was set at $6,000 and a court date of Nov. 8 was assigned.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO RESIDENCE

Paul M. Garelli, 64, is accused of criminal trespass to residence, and was arrested at 10:09 a.m. Oct. 8, in the 900 block of N. Chestnut Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 14.

STOLEN AUTO
A resident in the 700 block of E. Park Street reported that between Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, someone stole his white Toyota from his driveway.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE
A resident in the 600 block of S. Dunton Avenue called police to report that between 3:45 a.m. and 4 a.m. Oct. 3, someone entered their unlocked white Chrysler and gray Hyundai and rummaged through the contents inside. The subjects were described as males who arrived in a white SUV.
BURGLARY/CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A resident in the 100-300 block of S. Dwyer Avenue reported that between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. Oct. 3, someone entered their unlocked Volkswagen, white Hyundai, silver Kia and gray Chrysler and rummaged through the contents inside and stole personal property. The subjects were described as males who arrived in a white SUV.
VANDALISM
A resident in the 3400 block of N. Ridge Avenue called police to report that during the overnight hours of Oct. 6, someone used white spray paint to write “Tweak DiaBlo” with a broken heart and “FOLK KILLA” on the southeastern exterior brick wall.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
An employee at Lodan Electronics, 3311 N. Kennicott Avenue, reported that between Oct. 5 and Oct. 6, someone stole the padlock and damaged the latching system on his 2005 Great Dane 57 foot trailer.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee at Walgreens, 1711 W. Campbell Street, called police at 8:40 p.m. Oct. 6, to report two males stole an unknown number of cosmetics. The first subject was wearing a white and gray baseball hat, black hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes. The second was wearing a black baseball hat with an Air Jordan logo, black puffy jacket, khaki shorts and black shoes with green soles.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
Residents in the 600 and 700 block of Happfield Drive reported that during the overnight hours of Oct. 7, someone stole the catalytic converters off their 2013 Volkswagen and 2008 Mitsubishi. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was estimated to between $1,000 and $1,500.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 1200 block of W. Kelly Street reported at 3:35 p.m. Oct. 7, that while inside his residence he heard someone inside as well. The victim exited his house and observed a green or silver minivan parked on the street. The driver was a male, 30-40 years old, heavyset, wearing black framed glasses. Another male, medium build, wearing a utility jacket entered the passenger seat and the vehicle fled eastbound. It was later discovered an exterior window was open and the screen removed.
THEFT
A member at LA Fitness, 345 E. Palatine Road called police to report that between 2 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. Oct. 8, someone stole his wallet from a locker. The subject subsequently made unauthorized purchases with the victim’s credit cards. The subject was described as approximately 5-foot-9, 140 pounds, with short black hair, face tattoos, wearing a black jacket, white Adidas pants and white shoes.
