Trio Steals $2.2K In Perfume At Kohl's: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Michelle Diana Fis, 26, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 12:16 a.m. Nov. 29, at N. Windsor and Eton drives. She was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 22.
  • Kim B. Hartman, 56, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 3:33 a.m. Nov. 28, at S. Arlington Heights Road and E. Magnolia. She was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 22.
  • Christopher Hernandez, 23, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 3:20 a.m. Nov. 23, at S. Wilke and W. Central roads. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 22.
  • Katsuaki Sato, 52, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Nov. 29, at the Vail parking garage, 55 S. Vail. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 22.

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT

Danny Meza, 44, is accused of leaving the scene of an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 7:48 p.m. Nov. 28, at W. Dundee Road and Route 53. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 22.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Charmeon P. Murao, 32, had an in-state warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 4:58 p.m. Nov. 22, at Best Buy, 615 E. Palatine Road. He was held for a detention hearing.

UNDERAGE DRINKING

Mario Sauseda, 46, is accused of facilitating the use of alcoholic beverages by underage persons at his home, and was arrested Nov. 25 in the 0-10 block of W. Suffield Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 12.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

A gym member at LA Fitness, 345 E. Palatine Road, reported that between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Nov. 6, someone stole credit cards from his wallet, which were secured inside a locker within the men’s locker room. The victim's credit cards were subsequently used to make unauthorized purchases.

STOLEN AUTO

  • A resident in the 800 block of W. Rand Road called police to report that between Nov. 6 and Nov. 7, someone shattered a window on his 2006 Infiniti and subsequently stole it.
  • A resident in the 1600 block of W. Canterbury Court reported at 3:30 a.m. Nov. 7, someone entered his 2023 Toyota and stole it from the driveway. Video surveillance showed two male subjects dressed in black enter the vehicle.
  • A resident in the 4100 block of N. Bloomington Avenue called police to report that between Nov. 11 and Nov. 12, someone stole his 2013 Chevrolet. Shattered glass was found on the ground, suggesting a window was shattered to gain entry.
  • A resident in the 600 block of W. Rand Road reported that during the overnight hours of Nov. 16, someone entered his 2013 Hyundai. Shattered glass was located on the ground, suggesting a window was broken to gain entry.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

  • A resident in the 2400 block of N. Lafayette Street reported that during the overnight hours of Nov. 8, someone shattered the driver's side vent window on his 2018 Ford van.
  • A resident in the 400 block of W. Happfield Drive called police to report that during the overnight hours of Nov. 8, someone shattered the driver's side vent window on his 2015 Ford van.
  • A resident in the 4100 block of N. Bloomington Avenue reported that between Nov. 11 and Nov. 12, someone shattered the driver's side window on her 2020 Kia.
  • A citizen reported that between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 15, someone damaged the driver's side door key lock on his 2012 Ford E350 work van while it was parked at NW Gastroenterology, 1415 S. Arlington Heights Road.

BURGLARY

  • A witness called police at 5:40 a.m. Nov. 9, to report someone possibly stealing from B&P Smoke & Spirits, 2316 E. Rand Road. Officers arrived on scene and observed a shattered window on the front door. A review of video surveillance showed a red or orange SUV pull up in front of the business. A male wearing blue jeans, a brown sweater, white shoes, and a white item of clothing covering his face broke the window, gained entry and stole lottery tickets. The subject left southeast bound on Rand Road.
  • A customer at Wellness Center, 900 W. Central Road, reported that between 10:15 a.m and noon Nov. 17, he had locked his wallet and cell phone in a locker while he was at the facility. Upon retrieving his belongings, he noticed his cell phone SIM card, credit cards, and cash were all missing.

ROBBERY

  • A victim called police at 7:40 a.m. Nov. 13, to report two men approached him while standing outside a location in the 1100 block of E. Algonquin Road. The first subject was wearing green sweatpants and a white t-shirt. The second had long black curly hair. The first male ripped a gold chain valued at approximately $700 from the victim's neck and ran westbound.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of Kohl's, 800 W. Dundee Road, reported at 8:15 a.m. Nov. 14, three subjects stole approximately $2,200 worth of fragrances. They arrived and left in an unknown dark gray sedan. The subjects were described as:

  • Subject 1: A black male, in his mid-30s, wearing a black winter hat, a black North Face jacket, black jeans and black and white New Balance shoes.
  • Subject 2: A black male, with long dreads, in his late 20s, wearing a gray Chicago Bears winter hat, a blue and gold shirt, a gold or silver watch on his right wrist, a black North Face jacket, and black shoes.
  • Subject 3: A black female, in her mid-30s, with long black hair, wearing a black shirt and black puffy jacket, black pants and black shoes.
