Walgreens Thief Steals $1K In Cosmetics: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

An employee at Lake Arlington, 2201 N. Windsor Drive, reported that between 5 p.m. Sept. 10 and 10:15 a.m. Sept. 11, someone damaged a metal panel on a pontoon boat. The cost to repair the damage was unknown at the time of the report.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of Walgreens, 1000 E. Northwest Highway, called police at 9:40 p.m. Sept. 11, to report someone stole approximately $1,100 worth of cosmetic items. As the subject was exiting the store, he displayed brass knuckles to an employee.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLES

A citizen reported that between 12 p.m. and 12:40 p.m. Sept. 12, someone entered his gray Acura and stole a diaper bag containing personal items while the car was parked at Sunset Meadows Park, 700 S. Dwyer Ave.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

  • A citizen reported that between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12, someone keyed his gray Honda while it was parked in the 1100 block of N. Patton Avenue. The cost to repair the car was unknown at the time of the report.
  • A citizen called police to report that between 3:15 p.m. and 3:35 p.m. Sept. 16, someone shattered the front passenger window on her red Hyundai while it was parked at the Dollar Tree, 89 W. Golf Road. The cost to repair the window was unknown at the time of the report.

BURGLARY

A member at LA Fitness, 345 E. Palatine Road, reported that between 12 p.m. and 12:20 p.m. Sept. 13, he had placed his personal items in a secure locker prior to working out. While working out, the victim was notified his credit cards has been used. The victim went back to his locker and noticed his credit cards were missing.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

A resident in the 900 block of E. Shady Way reported that during the overnight hours of Sept. 14, someone stole the catalytic converter off her black Mitsubishi. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.
