Chicago Man Charged In Aurora Triple Carjackings
Police say he had an outstanding warrant tied to an unrelated motor vehicle theft.

AURORA, IL — A Chicago man has been charged in a triple carjacking incident that took place in Aurora Saturday. Calvin Taylor, 26, of the 1300 block of Lorel Ave., faces charges of armed violence, aggravated vehicular hijacking, possession of stolen motor vehicles and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Police say Taylor already had an outstanding warrant for violating his parole for an unrelated motor vehicle theft when he began the alleged carjacking spree around 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Taylor is accused of stealing and crashing one car, being offered help by a stranger, stealing and crashing their car, being offered help by another stranger and then stealing and crashing their car.
Police caught up to Taylor after he crashed the last car on I-290. He sustained a broken leg and ankle during the crash and was taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment.

Taylor is currently being held in Kane County Jail on $500,000 bond.
