IL Orthopedic Network Opens State-Of-The-Art Facility In Aurora
The 8,000-square-foot Aurora space, which includes a full-service medical center, is ION's first in the western suburbs of Chicago.

AURORA, IL — Illinois Orthopedic Network broke ground on a new state-of-the-art facility in Aurora, marking its debut in the western suburbs of Chicago, officials announced.
The space, at 1281 N. Farnsworth Ave., includes a full-service medical center that offers surgery, physical therapy and rehabilitation services. It also contains its own pharmacy.
The company chose to open the 8,000-square-foot space on 30,000 square feet of land in Aurora due to it being an "ideal location to service [ION's] growing clientele and accommodate those uninsured and underprivileged patients."

"After many months of research, we found Aurora to be a perfect fit in light of the city’s vast population, long list of attractions, distinctive architecture and overall prominence amongst other western suburbs," Marc Strongin, ION's founding partner, said in a statement.
ION, which celebrated its 10-year anniversary this year, caters to injured occupational patients who don't have access to traditional insurance. The company has more than 30 offices throughout the state.

"We love taking care of the working class people. We have found out that many times the injured worker is not getting the medical care and attention that they deserve," Strongin said. "As such it was a heartfelt choice, as well as a logical one to expand our practice outside of Chicago for those who may have trouble commuting."
