KANE COUNTY, IL — A Kane County deputy turned into a delivery driver to ensure a customer's meal was delivered.

The sheriff's office shared a Facebook post Thursday morning featuring a short, 43-second video captured by Ring showing the deputy in action in his unexpected role. The video, titled "Door Dashing Deputy," shows him walking up to a house holding a brown paper bag. He rings the doorbell and is met with a resident who asks if there has been an accident.

The deputy responds, "No, he got arrested, but we wanted to make sure you got your food, so you guys have a good night."
