1 Dead, 1 Injured In Kane Street Shooting: Aurora Police
Two men were shot Tuesday evening in the 700 block of Kane Street, according to police.

AURORA, IL — Two men were shot, one fatally, Tuesday evening in the 700 block of Kane Street, Aurora police said.
A 24-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds when police responded at around 6:45 p.m. after receiving 911 calls reporting shots fired, according to a news release.
Officers began rendering life-saving aid until Aurora paramedics arrived to bring both men to the hospital. The 32-year-old was pronounced dead a short while later, officials said. The 24-year-old was listed in stable condition as of Tuesday evening.

The man’s identity was not revealed pending notification of his next of kin.
Police searched the scene but did not immediately find the shooter, and an investigation into the shooting remains active.

Three people have been reported shot in less than a week in Aurora. Another man, 26, was shot Saturday night in the 700 block of North Lake Street, Patch reported.
