1. 2 Baby Wallabies Becomes 1st Marsupials In Aurora Zoo History (patch.com) — Families in Aurora can now visit Wally and Bindi, two young Bennett's wallabies that just became the first marsupials in Phillips Park Zoo's history. The newcomers are settling into an exhibit between Tito the lynx and the barnyard, with the option to spend time indoors as they acclimate. Zoo officials say visitors should see more of them in coming weeks as they grow comfortable in their new Aurora home.

Aurora Approves 185 Energy-Efficient Townhouses For Ogden Avenue (patch.com) — Aurora has approved Kingsley Row, a 185-unit energy-efficient townhouse development at Ogden Avenue and 75th Street, designed to meet Illinois Stretch Energy Code targets without city incentives. The project includes stormwater facilities, an extended Commons Drive connection, and access to Aurora's homebuyer assistance program to help residents manage higher upfront construction costs in exchange for lower long-term utility bills.

Person Fatally Struck By Train In Aurora: BNSF (patch.com) — Aurora residents are learning more about a deadly train incident that occurred the night of Aug. 25 near Spring Street and Lincoln Avenue, away from a designated crossing. Railway officials say one person was fatally struck while the BNSF train crew was unharmed, and the crash site remains a point of concern for neighbors who use the nearby area.
