Remodeled Aurora Aldi Set To Reopen In Two Weeks
The improvements include an improved layout and additional refrigeration to accommodate an expanded selection of fresh food.

AURORA, IL — Aurora residents will be able to once again shop at Aldi on New York Street — this time in a renovated store. The affordable grocery destination will reopen to customers at 9 a.m. Nov. 11.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will make the store's reopening official at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Part of the remodeling at the store, at 1410 E. New York St., includes an improved layout and additional refrigeration to accommodate an expanded fresh and convenient food selection, officials said in a news release Friday. The interior, built with environmentally friendly materials, also has open ceilings and natural lighting.

The renovation of the store, which closed starting Sept. 27, is part of an ongoing initiative at the company to remodel and expand existing Aldi stores nationwide.
"We have invested in remodeling our stores to ensure the design and experience match the high quality of our products," Laura Branneman, Batavia regional vice president for Aldi, said in a statement. "With the updated Aurora store, shoppers will notice a new look with more fresh and convenient items at the reliably low prices ALDI fans rave about."

Aldi officials said customers will still find low prices and a streamlined shopping experience but will notice the elevated design.
Besides the New York Street location, Aldi has three other stores in Aurora: one on West Geneva Boulevard, another on Ogden Avenue and the third on Miller Drive.
