Victim In West Side Shooting IDed As Aurora Man: Police
Police found him suffering from gunshot wounds in a parked car Sunday in the 400 block of West New York Street.
AURORA, IL — The name of the man who died in a shooting on Aurora's west side Sunday was released in an update from police Tuesday.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Myles Buie, of Aurora.
Police responded to the 400 block of West New York Street just before 10 p.m. when they found Buie suffering from gunshot wounds in a parked car, Patch reported. Paramedics brought him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation into the homicide remains ongoing, police said.
To help raise money to organize the memorial "[Buie] deserves so we can all say our final goodbyes," his family created a GoFundMe campaign Tuesday. It has accumulated more than $2,700 in the less-than-one day since it was organized.

The woman who started the campaign described Buie as a "hard worker, Great father, with the biggest heart and a beautiful soul who loved nothing more than spending his free time with his family and friends."
"He would have given any and all that he had to anyone who needed it. Myles deserves back," she wrote. "We would love to make sure that Myles is put to rest in the best way."
