1.

We are closely monitoring information from the Center for Disease Control and local county health departments.

We encourage all community members to seek out reliable, factual information about coronavirus disease, from resources like the Center for Disease Control’s “Share Facts About COVID-19” website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/share-facts.html

Lake County, IL, Health Department “COVID-19” website: https://www.lakecountyil.gov/4377/Coronavirus-Disease-2019-COVID-19

2.

Our Building Services department already maintains a rigorous schedule of cleaning procedures for the entire building, furnishings and fixtures, and all the special interactive items within our Youth Services department.

In addition to regular procedures, we are increasing the disinfection of tables, door handles, toys, and other high touch surfaces at this time.

When you visit, you’ll find hand sanitizer available throughout the building.

3.

We’re advising all staff and customers who are not feeling well to simply stay home. Limiting social contact helps prevent the spread of cold, flus, and all other communicable diseases.

Concerned about returning your Library materials on time while you’re sick? Just give us a call, we’re here to help!

If you are home recovering, or just want to limit your social interaction at this time, the BALibrary.org website is open 24/7, with tens of thousands of e-books, e-audiobooks, digital magazines, streaming movies and shows, and online research databases available with just a few clicks and a Barrington Area Library card. Now is an ideal time to explore our very popular digital resources.
