Barrington's Daughters of the American Revolution Donate $7,700 to Local Charities

It was a record year for fundraising for the Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR. Two highly successful fundraisers made it possible for the group to donate Over $7,700 dollars to more than 30 organizations and programs that support the DAR mission of promoting historic preservation, education, conservation and patriotism. “We are a great group and we make things happen,” exclaims Regent Kathy Boyle, “We are one the most active chapters in Illinois, and I am so proud of all we accomplished in 2015.”

2015 Recipients: Barrington Area Library, Barrington’s White House, Barrington History Museum, Gigi’s Playhouse, Home of the Sparrow, Honor Flight Chicago, James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center, Lake in the Hills Historical Society, McHenry Co. Youth Orchestra, Native American Scholarships, Our Military Kids, Poshard Foundation for Abused Children, Stillman Nature Center, USO of Illinois, Veteran’s Stand Down and several national and local NSDAR projects and programs.
