A Cook County Forest Preserve District officer was not injured when his snowmobile crashed through the ice on Baker's Lake in Barrington Thursday morning.
The officer was completing restoration work on the lake when the incident occurred at about 10 a.m. near Hillside Ave. and Bristol Drive, according to ABC 7 Chicago.
The officer fell partially into the water, the Daily Herald reports. He was not injured and was not taken to the hospital.
